Owner
Yvonne is the proud owner of YMK Hair and brings over 38 years of experience in the hair industry. Her expertise and passion have earned her the prestigious title of “Educator of the Year” during her time working with Matrix.
For 19 years, Yvonne was a dedicated trainer, performing on stage at national shows and collaborating with leading fashion and hair industry icons such as Gok Wan and Jamie Stevens.
Yvonne works alternate Wednesday afternoons, Thursdays until 7pm, and Fridays and Saturdays.
Outside of work, Yvonne enjoys dancing, travelling abroad, and spending quality time with her husband, adult children, and beloved dogs.
Her favourite drinks? Prosecco, margaritas, and, as she likes to say—“wiiiiinnneeeeee”!
Salon Manager & Senior Stylist
Beth is our Salon Manager and a full-time Senior Stylist who has been a valued part of the YMK Hair team for over 11 years. She is NVQ Level 3 qualified and has completed several Matrix courses focused on colouring and styling.
Beth specialises in the latest colouring techniques, including balayage, foilyage, highlighting, colour melting, and face-framing – it’s what she loves most! She’s also passionate about educating her clients, often sharing tips on how to curl and manage their hair at home.

Beth works Tuesday to Saturday, with late appointments available on Thursdays until 7pm.
Outside the salon, Beth enjoys crafting and making handmade greeting cards. She’s also recently taken up Reformer Pilates – and swears by it!
Her favourite drinks? A crisp Pinot Grigio, a glass of prosecco, or a cheeky pornstar martini!
Senior Stylist
With over 22 years of experience in the hair industry, Kimberley is a skilled Senior Stylist who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the salon. She specialises in gents barbering and has completed a number of Matrix training courses to further refine her colouring and styling skills.
Kimberley works part-time and is available Thursday until 7pm, Friday, and Saturday.
Outside of the salon, Kimberley enjoys dancing, shopping, and spending time with her children – whether that’s supporting them at swimming lessons, jiu jitsu competitions, or taking them roller skating.
Her go-to drinks? A WKD, a flavoured gin, or an Archers and lemonade!
Graduate Stylist
Nicole began her journey into the hair industry in September 2022 and has quickly developed into a confident and creative stylist. She completed her NVQ Level 2 in April 2024 and has now successfully achieved her Level 3 qualification in 2025, making her a fully qualified Graduate Stylist.
As she continues to grow her experience and build her clientele, Nicole is currently offering discounted services. She works Tuesday to Saturday, with Wednesday afternoons and late-night appointments on Thursdays until 7pm.
Outside the salon, Nicole enjoys being creative, spending time with friends, travelling whenever she can, and cooking her favourite meals.

Apprentice Stylist
At just 17 years old, Bella is continuing her journey in the hairdressing industry. Having joined the salon as an Apprentice Stylist in October 2025, she brings a natural interest in beauty, makeup, and fashion, and is enjoying developing her skills as she works toward her Level 2 NVQ qualification.
Bella is in the salon three days a week, gaining hands-on experience and receiving training in blowdries, cutting, and colouring, while building connections with clients as she progresses through her apprenticeship.
Outside of the salon, Bella enjoys spending time with her family, going to the gym and keeping up with the latest fashion trends.
We’re delighted to have Bella as part of the team and look forward to supporting her growth within the industry.
